Indoor peppers

So...a lot of pepper plants are actually perennial babies.....
Going to be transferring some into pots and enlarging a few of the pots and we will see what we can do with indoor peppers in maine....
The cayenne don't much care to produce in the winter but the plant will get bigger and stronger...
Habanero are a strong producer through the winter which is fabulous because we love the little buggers!

Looks like we will need a couple shop lights, warm and cool bulb, but were planning that investement anyway.

Going to also get a clump of chives and get them going in a pot so that we can have some fresh chives long before season....

"Chives do real well in the window if you have some. This is what I do to bring them in:
1. Dig up a clump of chives now.
2. Keep the pot outside until it has gone thru several hard frosts...you can even wait until snow. It will die back or look pretty sad! Your mimicking dormancy and then spring.
3. Bring the pot indoors; trim away the dead foliage and place in a good south or west facing window.
4. New shoots appear very shortly. When it gets about 10" tall you can start snipping. If it's pretty skimpy, trim back to 2" and it will come back fuller "
Sadly already getting excited for winter also!!!
