growign sweet potato in the north
Sweet potato is an unrelated to potato, tropical plant. the leaves are edible. They like very warm weather. I have one sitting in the kitchen right now with toothpicks and water, going to see if we can at least get some leaves and whatnot. thinking about growing them for roots but maybe not until next year as they are very much a warm weather and long season plant and will need a lot of babying.
