June Bugs (Phyllophaga)
encyclopedia Brittanica notes that the larva make good fish bait. who knew. we have worms lol.
There is a distinct possibility that too many of these are not particularly good for the garden. However, what an interesting creature. they overwinter here during our severe cold by hibernating in the ground! They have sticky feet and get stuck in my hair ~shudder~ so are not one of my favorite types of bugs!
We have the birds covered! very hopeful for toads!
