May 5-new plants and repotting

May 5th! (yes, i know i am posting this on the sixth).  We went up to camp over the weekend and had a fabulous time although the river was still a bit fast.  However, the Hound got into the river and went swimming for the first time ever of her own accord!  She was an awfully good hound.

May 5th also mean that the monkey turned five! we got her gardening tools and gloves and seeds of her very own for her birthday and we will be creating her a little garden space of her own.

I repotted the peter peppers.  They are going to be in pots for a little while.  Our days are wonderfully warm but our nights are still getting into the fourties and i want to give them a little extra protection still.  They are already setting fruit, kind of hoping that they put a little energy into just plain getting bigger as well.  They do seem to have an odd almost vining habit at this time.

We bought some new plants.  They are from the evil empire but they  had just gotten in so they hadn't had time to really kill them yet!

Beefsteak Tomato.  These are not really a hardy variety for our climate but such nice slicers!
maturity: 95-110 days

maturity: 78 days

maturity: 75 days

Rosemary.  Not winter hardy in this zone but i may be looking to keep her in a pot or two and see how she does.

Maturity: 70-80 days

Maturity: 70 days
This one is for the monkey, because small tomatoes like this are fun for kids and have such a nice crop.
